What I checked
Allthings’ Summoner diary calls Iron Staff an early Blacksmith weapon. The wiki calls it a tier-2 blueprint whose numbers are unrecorded. I will not glue the generic forge +7 onto it.
Conflict
- Wiki: T2 blueprint, tooltip missing.
- Summoner diary: early Mage weapon from the Blacksmith.
- Generic T2 forge is +7 attack and 400 gold. That recipe is for forge weapons, not a proof for this staff.

Not published. I am not guessing.
Is it a drop or a craft?
The wiki says blueprint. The diary says Blacksmith. Both can be partly true. The numbers are still missing.
